MySpace is all over the news and all over computer screens across America and beyond. In November of 2005, MySpace had 26.7 million users*. I posted a page a year ago for my bird store and offered a discount code. I've had one sale in all that time. I don't however, spend a lot of time on myspace. Too much adware and junk.

MySpace definitely has its fair share of adware and junk advertising. As noted in the article "a thing to realize is that while you are using your MySpace page to build a client base and market to your friends, MySpace is using your own page to market to you." When trying to build a client base and market to customers, MySpace is something you have to be proactive about. The more you put into it- the more you will get out of it. Two big steps are building your friend base and posting comments on other MySpace pages. Checkout this niche business: http://www.myspace.com/discgolfassociation . As of now, they have 1150 friends, so when a bulletin or a "special sale" is posted- it is sent to over a 1100 potential customers!
