Is it possible to upload an animated GIF image? I believe we did it in version 4.

No, I mean for a product pic. I just figured it out, you have to use the FTP to manually upload them. The quick upload won't work.

Hi Mike, I have a client who would like to use animated GIF's for products. So - you just upload them via FTP - and then now to insert as your main graphic for that product? I know the easy upload doesn't work - we tried that too - but how to you connect it to the product as the main image? Is there a setting in the product edit area?

The way we handled it was to first delete any product pictures you may already have loaded for this specific product. Then you will need to create your GIF in fours different sizes and name each of them. For example, the product we are looking at (60158-8 Flashing LED Pin) has four different Gifs (60158-8-0.gif, 60158-8-1.gif, 60158-8-2.gif, and 60158-8-2T.gif). Here are the sizes
500x500 (productcode#-2)
250x250 (productcode#-2T)
150x150 (productcode#-1)
50x50 (productcode#-0)

You will then need to login to your FTP account and upload them to the folder with all of your other product photos (ours was in vspfiles/photos/). Thats it. Volusion will automatically tie it in.

Thank you very much. We used Volusion design services and the v-buttons template to get us started. We have an in-house artists who creates the seasonal 'PartyCheap Chick'.
