Default Import Product Url

Hi I am trying to add some product url's using the import option. I have exported a product file that I drag and drop the product urls in excel. When I try to import I just get the message that the producturl is not a recognised field.

Anyone have the same issue and is there a way round it??

Don't include it, because it does not make sense. You are trying to tell Volusion what the URL is for a product, but it does not work that way. You will need to take those existing URLs and put in 301 redirects to the new URL in Volusion compatible format.

Default Hi there

So am I right in assuming that the url http://www.thebedcentre4mattresses.c...2007-6.0-1.jpg is not a recognised url.

If I set up redirects it will probably take just as long as adding them in on the product pages. Hence the reason I was looking at a quick drag and drop using Import/Export.

One thing that I have considered and you can let me know what you think is hosting my images on a remote server. I have read a few posts about band width issues and charges if you go over them. Not an issue at the moment, but as my store grows that could be an issue.

What are you thoughts and is it beneficial??

You said product URL, you cannot import the product URL. You can, however, import the overridden product photo URLs in order to host those at an external location.
