I am wondering how others handle declined transactions? Do you follow up? If so, do you call the customer...email them to try again...email them to call their order in...
Also, does the type of decline influence how you follow up: 1-Declined due to AVS or card code mismatch, or 2-"Truly" declined by the issuing bank Thanks! |

There used to be a lot of threads on this topic. The search feature in this forum is definitely not working well.

They usually contact us when they've been declined. We try to work with them if that's what they want - we also offer a short and sweet solution - send a check or money order.

Mike, Yes! I agree - the forum search feature doesn't work well.
SongOfSnow - thanks for the feedback. This is what we have been doing: If the decline is due to AVS or a card code mis-match, we tend to call or email and try to take the order over the phone. If the decline appears to be from their bank, we do not follow up. |
