Here's a silly question I *should* know the answer to, but is eluding me at the moment.
If I have a category that is made up of subcategories and I show the subcategories using their thumbnails... then how do I get the subcategory's description to not show up on the parent category page near the thumbnail? I want my categories to all have descriptions, but I don't want them to show up next to the thumbnail you click to get to that category. Is that clear? Any ideas? Memmadog? Heh. |

[quote] If you use Category Graphics instead of Thumbnails you can use just the image and show no text. If you want to stay with the Thumbnails you have to make sure that both the Category Description and the Category Description SHORT are both empty. But as you mentioned, then you have zero descriptions. |

Put the description in the "category description below the products" and leave the regular cat description blank. That way the description won't show next to the Thumbnails but you will have some text at the bottom of the cat page that you can put some keywords in for SEO.
That's what we are doing on our next site that's under construction now. Hope that helps! |
