Our current shipping model charges a flat rate, regardless of order size or weight, based on the country the order is being shipped to. I've just started watching all the videos and reading the help information for the shipping settings, but I'm still a little confused - is this possible? Is there a workaround if not?
For instance, US orders would automatically be assessed a $10 shipping fee. Orders to Australia would be $15. Orders to Singapore would be $17. I don't want to offer the customer any drop-down choice of shipping options since we use a single carrier and and only one shipping method and we handle insurance and tracking as part of the shipping fee automatically. |

you can add a new shipping option.. called "overseas" then add a flat fee next to the shipping

Managed to get it working - the reason that the international flat rate options that I had set up were not available for selection during check out was because one of the products in the basket did not have a weight assigned to it.
![]() Now - if I wanted to remove the ability to select a shipping option (to have it assign the correct flat rate option based on the country of the shipping address)... can that be done via settings or do I need to change the actual code for the checkout page? |

my understanding is either or..
a flat rate ie. $100 can only be done if the product has no weight. or you can add a weight to the product then have a shipping and handling fee for international per set up. (this assumes your using a live UPS or somthing likeit) i do not believe you can do both |
