I am using paypal as my only payment option and it is very limiting and confusing for our customers. I am thinking of using Volusions merchant account. I am just wondering if you have to file any business registration paperwork in your state or city in order to use a merchant account. I am moving back to tennessee in a few weeks, so I cant just go ask the city office and nothing is listed on their website, so I was just wondering if any of you had to file anything about your business in order to open a merchant account? Thanks.

Pay pal only was a "show stopper" for my store for months. Bottom line, whatever service you go with, it is an improvement over Pay pal only. My personal choice was Link Point API, but it all depends on your personal preferences.

EDIT: Volusion merchant sevices is a very detailed application process if I recall correctly. That is a good thing, IMO due to the fact they want to make sure everything is on the up and up. There is a link somewhere in the site that shows exactly what is required.
