for some reason in firefox, there seems to be an extra menu under the dropdown menu that is already there.
(the fake menu starts with something that says 'category selection' and not a link) but when i login to my admin account that error of a menu disappears, but i am afraid that all who see our website on fire fox will all get this erroneous menu.... does anybody know how to fix this? this menu does not show up in internet explorer. ~Neal |

If your talking about the left nav dropdown. I dont see anything different between FF and IE. Cept in IE the GO button is way down at the bottom.

I see you are using QuickMenu...the menu that you are speaking of is the original volusion menu...After viewing the source code it looks like there was an attempt to comment out that menu...but the comment tag was not closed.

Additionally, I do not understand why you would have Google Ads on the bottom of your page...it sends your potential customers to your competition.
To be frank...your home page needs a lot of help. :-) Rick H. |

When you use the drop down menus just below your header image, some of the drop downs extend beyond the bottom of my screen. On both Firefox and IE, I have no way to page down below the page without the menu disappearing like a window shade gone crazy.
I will agree with the others......a retail website is no place for google ads. Since they respond and appear on the very same keywords you are trying to sell, I see this as completely counter-productive. Furthermore, your income from a years worth of those ads cannot possibly equal the gross margin in a single sale from your website. When online retail is new to you, little details are sometimes missed. Spend more time on your product pages, your category pages, and your front door. There is too much available on the internet these days. Uninteresting pages will not keep attention very long. Good luck and wishing you good sales! Phil Ellis www.divesports.com |

As mentioned in my first post...there is a section in your template that was an attempt to comment out the menu that you speak of.
The comment tag was not closed. That is the problem. Rick H. |

The first thing to do is fix the unclosed comment tag. When logged in as admin, Volusion injects code into the page so you can make edits. If there is bad code in your template, then anything can happen.
I will again be frank. The template that has been developed for this site is counterproductive to the benefits of using Volusion. 1. The stock Volusion search function has been disabled and google search has been put in its place. I am sure you have a reason for this, but it does not make sense. 2. Qmenu is a fine product, but to start out, I suggest using the stock Volusion menus until you are ready to make modifications to the site. That is the core of the problem. You are attempting to deconstruct the Volusion features (specifically the nav menus) and implement your own. Until you have a good feel for what you are doing, why don't you embrace the Volusion features first. Please do not take the the wrong way, and consider it a gentle sharing. If you want to proceed with your own menu system, and run your own, try the suggestion given....close the comment tag. Rick H. |
