Default Move from MonsterCommerce?

Two months ago I started a store with MonsterCommerce.
That might have been a mistake...

Are there any tools to facilitate the move from MonsterCommerce version 7 (their new product) to Volusion?

Thanks!

I can't say I'm familiar really with MonsterCommerce (other than by name). I can tell you that the import feature in Volusion works just fine and should allow for bulk importing of your products and what-have-you. Then you'll spend some time going through all the fun store configs, payment and shipping configs and setups. The design is up to you if you're going with a template of some sort or have your own design coded to fit in the framework of Volusion. What areas are you concerned about? There's lots of help and support here and I'm sure you'll find everything you need.

While I can't speak to importing from MonsterCommerce I can tell you unless they have made major overhauls/changes in the way they do business in the last 2.5 years going with them was indeed a mistake and you should GET OUT NOW.

I moved from MonsterCommerce to Volusion a little over 2 years ago and it was the best decision I ever made for my business and psyche.

Ha, we are in the process of moving from MC to Volusion right now. From what I can tell just download your CSV from dataport then (and this is the stage we are at now) upload it again with a changes to inventory > export/import.

I haven't figured out how to do the mass image upload yet, maybe somebody else can help. Also not sure if you can link the images in the new csv sile that your uploading... I'm sure you can.

Oh I have heard that you can ask MC for a disk of all your images, its like 25ish bucks. Just tell them you need it to back up your site.

Default Move in Progress

We are in the process of moving from MC. After uploading the CVC file, we have spent 30 days tweaking everything (adding images, etc).

Personally, I like the fact that once I complete the move, I will have more tools to access and change my store. This system is powerful! With MC, they kept adding features and then never supported them thru dataport. Additionally, they are migrating everyone to v.7 and they will not promise 301 redirects. I have a lot of traffic that comes in thru direct links (usually posted in forums). I am setting up 301 redirects in volusion. This feature is HUGE!

Default MonsterCommerce

We are in the final stages of moving from MonsterCommerce. They worked well for us and it was time to move up and take our business to the next level.

I do have a problem now though. In March they charged our CC for $999 for the next years service without our knowing. We asked them to refund us the balance and they told us it was no refundable. Has anyone else had this problem? If they don't refund, my attorney will be involved.

Go to your credit card company and ask what they can do to help.
