Default Many complaints of site issues

I have had numerous complaints the last week or so from customers not being able to checkout. The complaints range from the cart page "flickers" then freezes, items disappear from the cart, can not be added to the cart (in stock items) and several other issues.

Sales are WAY down, which I assumed was due to the season, but am now getting concerned. I myself can not replicate the issues and have tried on several computers in both Firefox and IE. However, the amount of emails and phone calls telling us our site isnt working properly tells me this is issue is real.

The only things we recently changed was the magnifying glass feature, which was about 2 weeks ago and we also upgraded our account a couple of weeks ago from gold to platinum. Complaints started about one and a half weeks ago and are occurring more often.

Has anyone else noticed any issues with their sites, mainly checkout issues?

As far as not being able to add items to the cart (also seem to disappear) is usually because they are not accepting cookies. They need to add your site as a trusted site via their internet browser. If they have a third party firewall they will probably have to add you there as well. To have a feature rich shopping cart, you pretty much need to use cookies. Unfortunately, most people don't understand and select safest setting when configuring or installing internet applications.

I have updated my computer to Firefox 3 and immediately noticed the "Great New Feature" of the magnifying glass does not work...lots of flickering of the image...

Not sure if support really monitors this forum like our current provider does but am going to alert tech support...

Firefox 3 looks really good and I might be switching just like millions of others...can't ignore Firefox any longer...

We are using firefox version 3 and magnifying glass feature without any issues. I don't believe that it is caused by Volusion's software.

I've tried it on few systems.

I've had similar complaints from customers, but it goes back a while. Definitely a concern to me. I've experienced whacky behavior when entering the zipcode but neglecting to enter the state. I think that this causes a lot of problems - it is easy to miss. I am not sure why Volusion needs the customer to enter the state if they are entering the zipcode. Just one more thing for customers to mess up.

I also noticed that when you are loading a page on our site, the broswers seems to hang when it shows reading from www.vchangedesign.volusion.com. This is in the lower left hand corner of the Firefox browser screen. I have never seen this before and i wonder if volusion has changed something internally that is contributing to these problems.

I have had a lot of complaints the past week or so about people saying there is nothing in their cart.

Also a new problem I am noticing is I am not able to process credits to a customer's credit card. I get a declined message and it says this transaction is not eligible for a credit.

Last evening I was working on answering customer support messages in the CRM system and my site went down. I gave up after an hour so I do not know how long it was down.

We use this service to keep track of our uptime. It lets us know when our site has been down.

Default No items in shopping cart

After a while of not hearing this complaint, we have had a handful of "I can't add items to my cart" this week with unusual swings in conversion rate. We had some performance issues ealier in the week as well. Today seems normal.

I couldnt even get fire fox 3.0 to work on our Vista machines. It installs fine but then freezes up during startup. Can only imagine what bugs it is creating for websites.
