Default A second business/website

Hi,

We are looking at starting a second business totally unrelated to our current one. Does anyone here run 2 seperate businesses? If so, do you have any tips to make the process of running 2 businesses at the same time any easier?

When creating a second website do you get a discount from Volusion for having more than 1 site?

Thanks,

James

We run three webstores using volusion, I made sure our sites are set up mostly the same way so things like exporting orders to Quickbooks and Despatch Express work the same on all sites.

Default Discount for multiple stores

Volusion does offer a small discount for multiple stores.

They are completely independent with separate IP addresses, hosted on different servers and cannot share a commom SSL certificate.

Thanks for the replies.

The store will be selling adult toys. Is there anything specific to this industry that may differ from selling non adult items that I need to be aware of?

If you need to have some of the same content or you like your design.

One tip I have is to have Volsuion copy all of your existing content over to the new site. Then you can just change what you want.

That's a good idea, I wasn't aware that Volusion would do that.

I was thinking of playing around a bit more with different ideas once we have the new site so I could use our current site as a starting point.

Thanks,

James
